We always welcome offers of assistance from our community. You can volunteer in many ways and for as much time as you may have available — even if just visiting friends or family in the area. You will be guaranteed a wonderful welcome.
There are many roles that keep HOVAR running smoothly, and perhaps you have skills that would enhance our work.
- Fostering animals as they come into our care
- Driving — transporting animals and donated goods
- Staffing our shop in Hondon de Las Nieves
- Organising and helping at events
- Fundraising — seeking sponsorship, support or income from new sources
- Administration and committee roles
Foster
Give an animal a safe home while we find them the perfect family.
Fostering is one of the most valuable things you can do for our animals. When an animal comes into our care, a warm, loving foster home is always better than a kennel environment.
As a fosterer, you provide temporary care — from a few days to a few months — while we work to find a permanent home. We cover all veterinary costs and will support you throughout.
